Health benefits of using honey

As I regularly post about our health, I’d like to publish some interesting facts about honey:

1. Helps to cope with a hangover.
Honey contains a lot of fructose, which helps to get your body rid of alcohol. If you do not feel too good after yesterday’s night and you are not so hungry, then put a tablespoon of honey on toast, to help the body cope with a hangover.

2. Heal wounds.
Honey has antibacterial properties, which help to heal wounds, so it’s used for treatment of scratches, cuts and burns. To achieve the result it is necessary to put honey on the wound twice a day.

3. Softens cough.
If you have a tickle in the throat and dry cough hurts you, honey will help you. It liquefies phlegm and heals the irritated throat. Drink 2 teaspoons of honey with hot tea or milk before going to bed to cope with a cold. It’s NOT recommended to apply this method to treat children younger than one year.

4. Body Scrub.
Mix 1 oz. of honey, 3 oz. of sugar, 1 oz. of olive oil. Apply the mixture on a wet body with massaging movements, then wash off. This procedure will soften and moisturize the body.
