Make the world a better place to live

Our world is great

We all strive to make our lives better, but we don’t think about the fact that if we make the world a better place to live, we’ll improve not only our lives but the lives of next generations, our children’s lives.

Personally, I am very concerned about the environment. I believe that if each of us follow at least a couple of the following items, tell our friends about them, we can make the world a little bit better.

I’m not suggesting you to sell your property, to donate money to charity, to sleep in a tent or go to Alaska to save polar bears. No! In our life there is a place for smaller miracles. So…

What can we do to make the world better?

1. Sort garbage.
It’s not so difficult to have a couple of packages for different kinds of garbage and then throw them in the containers with corresponding names. This can greatly help to make the world better as today there’s a huge problem with garbage in many cities all over the world.

2. Collect waste paper.
30 kg of old paper is equal to 1 tree. So, it’s not a secret that collecting waste paper can make the world a little bit better. By the way, money banknotes are usually printed on recycled paper.

3. Use a bicycle.
It’s certainly useful both for our health and for the atmosphere. In addition, when using a bicycle you don’t have to stand in endless traffic jams. So, use a bicycle at least sometimes and you’ll will make your contribution to a better world.

4. Save electricity.
There are plenty of tips on saving electricity. For example, use energy efficient light bulbs. Also do not forget to turn off electrical appliances when leaving the house.

5. Save water.
If you forget to close a tap you’ll waste a few hundreds of gallons of water per hour. And this resource isn’t endless. World without clean water won’t be a better world.

6. Plant a tree.
Forests are the lungs of our world. And if every man in this world plant a single tree, there would be millions more trees and the air would be much cleaner.

7. Help animals.
You shouldn’t send all your salary to shelters. You can just feed homeless animals if possible.

It’s not necessary to do all these things to make the world better. Even a small action can help a lot. Think of it!

And how do you make this world better?

  1. Roman: Definitely a great message. I do think we have to be conscientious about what we are doing and our impact on the environment. I think the list and the suggestions you made are all great. Sometimes it really is just about doing the small things and making certain we are being sensitive with the footprint we leave.

  2. i dont agree on the feeding homeless pets they will then rely on us to get food instead of hunting for them by themself

    1. Hi Isaac! Thanks for your time reading this article and commenting!

But here I mean feeding homeless pets not wild animals, and would that be good when homeless dogs began hunting in the streets by themselves, though I’ve already seen such thing in my country when homeless dogs bite passing by people.
