We all know that metabolism isn’t possible without sun beams. And on the contrary – sun causes very serious diseases. So, who is this star for us: friend or foe?

To understand this, lets see the arguments:

Danger
1. Excessive enthusiasm while sunbathing leads to the destruction of collagen and elastin in cells of our body and to premature aging of the skin, not to mention such serious skin diseases as melanoma and carcinoma.

2. Because of the sun we can suffer hormonal disbalance. Besides, the slightest infection can lead to serious illness.

3. Cataracts, corneal and retinal burns, conjunctival tumors and other eyes problems can be avoided by choosing the high-quality sunglasses.

Benefits
1. Ultraviolet increases our resistance to flu and cold, helps in treatment of psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis.

2. Sunbathing strengthens our nervous system, stimulates the metabolic processes in our body.

3. The lack of ultraviolet can cause the development of schizophrenia, diabetes, cancer etc.

4. Vitamin D, produced under the sun beams, prevents the development of rickets (the bone problem that affects children). Besides, we need this vitamin and calcium to strengthen our bones and teeth.
