Why perfectionism is so bad?

In the psychology perfectionism is the belief that the best result can be and must be achieved. In pathological form – the belief that the imperfect result is unacceptable.

When you are a perfectionist you think that the job should be done perfectly or shouldn’t be done at all. And why is it so bad? Sometimes you spend to much time and efforts to do that job. Yes, the result will be perfect, but it will be too late already.

Here you have some reasons:

- You may never run a planned project just because you can not find the ideal structure for him.

- For example, if you have a website you may spend too much time on configuring its design, because you want to make it perfect. And because of that, you may forget about the content, which is much more important.

- You may never publish major articles just because you can not bring them to perfection.

- You may never try to make money, because there’s a possibility that this idea can fail.

The point is that: the aspiration to perfection is a good quality, but you must understand that the success comes with your experience.
